Easter at Bethany 2019
On Easter our church family, and many friends and guests, were all smiles. How can we not be full of joy when celebrating that Jesus rose from the dead to be our everliving Savior?! And those who gathered were also pleased to be using the newly expanded and remodeled Fellowship Hall. Its light and cheery ambiance, along with its expanded size, are wonderful blessings for which to thank our Savior. We at Bethany wish you and all those you love, a blessed Easter!

Easter Egg Hunt 2019
We were filled to capacity for our annual Easter Egg Hunt, held on the Saturday of Palm Sunday weekend (4/13/19). What a festive crowd, who enjoyed the newly opened expansion of our Fellowship Hall. The children received Pastor Mike's special object lesson about the crucifixion and resurrection, decorated cookies, worked on crafts and gathered up a bunch of Easter candy and other gifts. What a fun morning!

Building & Remodeling Progress
Our "Forward in Faith" Building & Remodeling Project began in earnest in the fall of 2018. Giving special attention to maintain our preschool's operation while working through an unusually cold and wet winter required some innovation and patience! Our transition from wintry March into the spring of April 2019 brings great joy to see the project quickly coming to fruition. Check out our Building / Remodeling page to learn how this project is blessing our preschool and church ministries. How blessed we are by our the undeserved love of our Savior!

Preschool Fun in winter!
A "real snow day" is when our preschool classes can go outside and play together in the snow! But they don't stay outside too long because there's more to learn during Movement Time, when they learn coordination and teamwork. The parachute is a favorite! But best of all, our students are kept energized with the gospel love of our crucified and risen Savior, Jesus Christ.

Pioneers Group
First Aid was taught to our Pioneers Group-- our "indoor hobbyist - outdoor exploration - fellowship group" designed for boys and girls from 4th to 8th grade. Outings are periodically held to put newly learned skills into practice, or just to have fun. Meetings are held monthly on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays. Please check our online calendar.

Christmas at Bethany 2018
The celebration that Christ our Savior was born to redeem us into his Forever Family. Our Bethany family celebrated this joyous season in a variety of ways in worship and in fellowship activities... as we continue to anticipate the wonderful results of our construction project that will "present" us with delightful "gifts" to help our growing church family.

Trunk or Treat 2018

Bible Soccer Camp - Staff
Our 2018 Bible Soccer Camp was held for three afternoons July 23-24-25 only because of the generous and talented volunteers who managed our camp. Thank you to the 80+plus Christians from our Bethany church family and from our sister WELS churches who made this camp a wondering blessing from the Lord.

Bible Soccer Camp - Day 3
Our 2018 camp came to a wonderful close on Wednesday evening, July 25th. The athletes in the main camp were able to put the "skills and drills" to use in a final scrimmage; iIt was obvious that new friendships had been formed among the campers. And our preschool campers didn't want camp to over either. Nontheless, camp was completed and celebrated with ice cream sandwhiches and a gifted soccer ball. Thanks to all the families who participated in this year's camp!

Bible Soccer Camp - Day 3 continued
Here are even more photos from Day 3 of our 2018 Bible Soccer Camp. Enjoy!

We had a wonderfully large turnout. In addition to collecting candy, the youth enjoyed games, crafts, snack, drinks, face painting and petting the rams. Adults had a great time joining the kids on the hayride and at the campfire. Thank you for all the volunteers who helped host this event!

Bible Soccer Camp, Day 2
Day 2 of our July 18-19-20 Bible Soccer Camp was a little warm. But the coaches and group leaders kept their players well hydrated. The folks sitting along the sidelines had it made... as they were sitting in the shade. The coaches introduced a few more technical skills and the athletes were having a ball!

Bible Soccer Camp, Day 3
The last day of camp taught even more skills to these young athletes. And especially, even more of Christ's forgiving love was shared! Thank you to all the parents who brought their children. Thank you to all our staff and helpers whose hard work and knowledge made our camp run so smoothly and successfully!

Day 2 Rain-Out & Leaders Pizza Party
A fast-moving storm prevented us from setting up, and another cell was bearing down, forcing us to cancel Day 2. So what do 50 volunteer staff members do when camp is cancelled? We have a pizza party, of course! Thanks to our many WELS volunteers (comprised of teens, collegiates, professors, tutors and pastors) who allow us to serve 182 athletes. Special thanks to four Martin Luther College students who traveled to MI to help us with our camp.

Bible Soccer Camp: Overview
Welcome to an overview of our Bible Soccer Camp, held July 23-25, 2012. Our main camp was held for athletes from 5 -12 years old. We also offered a Beginners Camp for those 3 and 4 years old. We had 113 youth participate in the camp. Most importantly, each day these souls enjoyed a Bible Lesson that taught how Jesus Christ is God's one and only Son, our Savior from sin who has given us the victory of eternal life.

Bible Soccer Camp 2012: Day 1
July 23rd ~ Our Bible Soccer Camp opened on Monday... which happened to be one of the hottest days of the summer! Our coaches and many volunteers were exceptionally careful to make sure all our 112 participants remained well hydrated. Our camp nurse needed only to soothe a few bumps that came from a fall... and not one bandage had to be applied. It was nice to see so many family members and friends sitting in the shade and watching the camp unfold!

Bible Soccer Camp: Day 2
The hot weather broke and provided an ideal afternoon for our second day of camp.

Bible Soccer Camp: Day 3-A
What is Bible Soccer Camp (ages 5-12)? It's an event that not only offers age-appropriate group settings for youth to learn and practice athletic skills specific to the sport of soccer, but it also provides a time for youth to socialize and learn about team work. Every few minutes, the athletes rotate to a different station to learn and practice different skill sets. One of these six stations provides a Bible lesson and light snack. This camp aims to help each athlete by strengthening body, mind, heart and soul.

Bible Soccer Camp: Day 3-B
Who's Leading Our Camp? Our head coach was a former collegiate All-American soccer player who now coaches youth soccer. She's joined by a collegiate All-Conference player, who along with varsity players on both the collegiate and high school levels, will share their skills, enthusiasm, and Christian character with the youth. Our support staff includes pastors, professors, teachers and various professionals from the business world. All this talent and character is brought together for the benefit of your young athletes, because of the forgiving love and powerful peace of the crucified and risen Savior Jesus.

Bible Soccer Camp: Day 3-C
How is the Beginner’s Camp different? The 3 and 4 year old participants in Beginner’s Camp will have their own separate recreation area (they will not participate on the same field with older children). Beginner’s Camp can be described as an activity-oriented "Vacation Bible School" that combines soccer skills, social games, singing, exercise and Bible lessons. We ask that the children wear tennis shoes (no sandals or cleats, please)… but they are not required to have shin guards. We will happily teach your child soccer skills and Bible truths in an atmosphere especially adapted to this age group. Note: parents frequently use this program to prepare their child for entering the preschool environment.

Bible Soccer Camp: Day 3-D
Gifted Equipment Soccer camp T-shirts will be provided at no cost for each participant. Likewise, the soccer ball each participant will individually use throughout the camp will be provided at no cost. The T-shirt needs to be worn daily while participating in the camp, just as each participant daily needs his/her soccer ball for participating in the camp. As mentioned earlier, this soccer camp is free of charge-- we simply ask that you spend some quality time with your child(ren) discussing the night's Bible lesson.

Bible Soccer Camp: Day 3-E
Closing Night Cookout & Picnic When the camp comes to a close on Wednesday night at 7:30 pm, hotdogs will be coming off the grills. All camp participants and their families and friends are invited to join in a hotdog picnic. Again, this is provided free of charge. So…Bring Your Own Blanket or Lawn Chair! Parents and family members are invited to bring a blanket for sitting in the shade (or a lawn chair) to watch the camp in progress. We'll have complimentary bottles of water in ice chests. And then you’ll be ready to go for the picnic on our closing night.

Confirmation June 2012
Congratulations to Katie and Marlee on their confirmation into the Christian Lutheran faith!
